Cameroon will face Egypt at Stade Omnisport Paul Biya in the 2021 Africa Cup semifinal match, Friday (04/02/2022) at 12:30 midnight Indian time. Cameroon qualified for the semifinals after beating the Gambia in the quarter-finals with a score of 2-0 through a brace from Karl Toko Ekambi. Thanks to the victory over the Gambia, Cameroon has not been touched by defeat even in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (W4 D1 L0). Meanwhile, Egypt qualified for the semifinals after getting rid of Morocco in the quarter-finals with a score of 2-1 through goals from Mohamed Salah and Trezeguet. With the victory from Morocco, Egypt has now recorded only 1 defeat in the 2021 African Cup of Nations (W4 D0 L1). Cameroon and Egypt last met in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations final which took place at the Stade d'Angondjé. In that match, Kemarun came out as champions after beating Egypt with a score of 2-1.
